Sarah Clutch by House of Moruka

Sarah Clutch by House of Moruka
The Sarah clutch by House of Moruka was sent for me to review.

As a supporter of black-owned businesses, I’m excited to share my review of the Sarah Clutch by House of Moruka. House of Moruka is a brand created by NYC-based designer Julian Gravesande and the name Moruka comes from of a river in her home country Guyana. All of the totes and clutches are handmade and named after areas in Guyana or friends and family members.

The Sarah clutch retails for $60 USD and can be used dressed up or down during any season. Rock it with some cute flats, boots or booties and you’re good to go! I personally think it’s great for date night or brunch with the girls. The inside is very spacious, as I was able to fit my wallet, cell phone, keys, and other essentials. It didn’t look bulky at all AND I could’ve fit more if I wanted to.

One thing that I love about the Sarah clutch is the interior. Even though the outside looks like a regular clutch, the interior makes it pop. It’s perfect if you’re a Plain Jane like me, but likes fun and funky things every once in a while.

Here are a few more details about the Sarah clutch

  • Size: 13″ x 8″
  • 100% cotton lining
  • 100% cotton inside pocket
  • Crocking can occur(dyes rubbing on fabric, eg. dark jeans)
  • Dry clean only
  • Made in pet-free & smoke-free environment

For the holiday season, Julian has teamed up with Kamilah Campbell of The Pink Locket with two different coin purse and jewelry sets. Because I love both brands’ quality and the owners’ visions, I bought the Shay coin purse + Steel Pan earrings set during Black Friday and it is super cute. You can purchase holiday gifts under $50 along with other House of Moruka totes, clutches and earrings on her official website. Be social and follow on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

This clutch is so pretty. I can really appreciate it. I’m a boring purse person. I have one black bag and that’s it. I need to get me another purse.

I absolutely love Julian and her House of Moruka designs. This clutch is so super fun and I just love the lining. I definitely have to make my way over to her site and get me one of her cluthes.
