For as long as I can remember, my oldest niece has loved beauty products. Her parents don’t allow her to wear any outside of her Disney play set, but every once in a while she finds her hands in her mother or grandmother’s stash. In efforts to stop this behavior, I let her go through my shadows, blushes, and lipsticks to do my makeup.
After I finished moisturizing, applying the primer, foundation and filling in my brows, she applied the blush, lipstick, eyeshadow and mascara. We recorded the process and agreed the video would stay up if she stopped going through her mother and grandmother’s beauty products. I really hope she keeps her end of our bargain.
Check out our video of the process below
It was a very enjoyable experience. Much to my surprise, she actually used the correct brushes and did a really good job. She was very excited to see the edited video and already has plans for “next time”.
Would you ever let a child do your makeup?
