Between heading to the Bahamas for Junkanoo Carnival Weekend, recording and editing new videos, and preparing myself for Cuba, May has been extremely busy. I’m late, but I didn’t want to end the month without sharing my monthly favorites. Here’s what I’ve been dabbling around with for the month of May.
The Mane Choice
Before this year, I didn’t even know The Mane Choice had body products. My cousin has been raving about it since returning natural, but due to me having so many products, I just didn’t want to accumulate more. Towards the end of April, I was invited to their Pink Lemonade & Coconut Super Antioxidant & Texture Beautifier Collection Launch and have been using the products ever since. I even gave the White Willow Bark & Cucumber Baby Collection for my nephew to use and my sister said they work well.
Check out the unboxing of the collection below
Towards the end of the month, I also purchased a ticket to a Rooftop party where The Mane Choice was the head sponsor. I hoped to get more hair products for a giveaway but received their skincare line. I absolutely love the Ancient Egyptian Body Collection and use it daily.
e.l.f. Tinted Lip Oils
One thing I love about the warm/sunny weather is the glow on my skin. For my brown girls, you ever go on vacation and get a nice golden tan? Gorge! I love lipsticks, but use more to matte finishes and glosses in the summer. e.l.f cosmetics sent me two of their new tinted lip oils in Berry Kiss & Coral Kiss. They give a sheer, tinted finish and contain jojoba, apricot, and Vitamin E to help moisturize your lips. You can purchase exclusively on elfcosmetics.com for $6.
Spin for Perfect Skin Brush
Talk about horrible. I purchased the Spin for Perfect Skin on Groupon about 3 years ago and just started using it consistently. The main reason was due to me getting sunburned and eventually peeling from my birthday trip to Martinique. The Spin for Perfect Skin Brush comes with a Single-Speed, Water-Resistant Handle, and 4 removable brush heads. I can use the Exfoliating Facial Brush, Cleansing Facial Brush, Body Brush or Pumice Stone. With warmer weather approaching, I also thought it’d be a good way to test controlling my Tenia Versicolor. I still breakout, but my skin does feel much cleaner on my back. It is comparable to the Clarisonic Mia but more affordable. The only con I have is it needs batteries.
As you can see there are not many products I’ve been using consistently for the month. I’ll be starting my #summernobuy from June until the end of August so instead of favorites, I’ll be sharing product empties this summer.
Have you tried any of the items from my May Favorites?
